Cyber Warfare… it’s no small thing.

In 2011, cyber threats were finally declared real threats in America. By this time though, Russia had already been hacking our systems for over 10 years — we’re a little late right.

Everyday, computer systems all over the world are being hacked and infiltrated. And it has only just recently been acknowledged.

The question comes though, can training hackers solve our problem, or will they increase it.

Many people would argue that the government can’t help us in this way. Because it is the government that they are trying to attack. Individually, we can make a difference. We can learn to block harmful forces from out systems.

Cyber warfare is defined as the use of technology to harm or launch an attack on nations, governments and citizens.

I am in no way any kind of expert, but this is no small thing.

  1. Hi Lilli, this was an interesting blog post on an even more interesting and less known topic. It’s scary to think how far America is behind Russia, futher more how large of an impact hackers can have on governments and society. I like that you discreetly notified the audience of your perception, that this issue it one for concern. It would have been nice to have an example of a hacking incident that has occurred so the reader isn’t just given facts, but evidence of hackings that have taken place to understand the concept more in depth. I talk about an example in my blog of some offical Iranian computers that were hacked with a bug that was super interesting to read about. Overall great blog!
