Similar to the last blog post, digital resistance is the questioning of the morally correct way to use the internet.
For example; WikiLeaks.
Basically, they leak classified information about companies and such. Their informants are anonymous and could be considered ‘Whistleblowers.’
The reason is this a case study, is that it is a questionable use of the internet. #1 because they are leaking classified information for everyone to see, without context. But they are informing the public of wrong-doings of companies.
Does the good outweigh the bad in this case? And if not, what is a morally correct way to do this?
Similarly, someone could use the power they have on the internet to advertise good causes. But on the other hand, they could do the exact opposite.
In terms of the internet, a lot of things are questionable. Mainly from the intentionality behind the action. For example;
- Leaking private information about company but the company closes…
- Creating awareness for a cause but doing it for the money.
Maybe things aren’t so black and white on the internet.

Hey Lilli, like the blog post, but I’m a little disappointed that there is no remediation to look at here. I really like how you build off your last blog post, I think it’s a great idea, but I feel you should have hyperlinked the previous blog in this one, in order to facilitate more traffic around your blog. I like the case study on Wikileaks, but I feel like it would have been a good idea to look at a specific wikilieaks leaks, such as Vault7.
