Reflection on ‘Social Media in a BCM World’

This has been an interesting project for me. I would not consider myself someone who asks a lot of questions. So for me, I found this project quite hard to envision.

Overall, I think that the project was moderately successful. While, I didn’t receive as many responses as once hoped, I did receive a range of different responses that gave me the information that I needed.

If I could change anything that I did, it would be, to run a focus group. I feel that discussion on this topic would have been quite helpful. As well as providing some statistics and information on the effects on social media, as I feel this would have changed a lot of their answers. A focus group might have been able to facilitate this through discussion. It would have been easier as well to ask more questions, and get clearer answers.

Through this process I have learned a lot about research practice, particularly ethical research practice. When performing research projects such as these, a thorough ethical research practice must be set in place, especially when interviewing or experimenting with people.

Overall, I have learned a lot from this project that I can take into the future.
